Safomasi: Handmade Textile with a Vintage Appeal

A couple of days ago I come across two curious Indian textile brands -- ELEPHANT LANDING (+ their FB page ) and SAFOMASI (+ FB page). Now they both are here, having one distinctive feature in common -- unpretentious illustration prints & simple yet eye-catching, playful designs definitely appealing to the inner child inside each one of us.
... i couldn't hold myself from adding a small piece of Olaf Hajek's painting (bottom left-hand corner),  as, i think, it comes so good along with these textiles. Olaf Hajek is a German-based illustrator, painter, artist, graphic designer, and author. Hajek uses folk culture, mythology, religion, history, and geography to explore the opposition between imagination and reality... /wikipedia
↑ ... a bit more on Olaf Hajek: i got to know about him @ AN INDIAN SUMMER blog, so if you'd like to see more of his India inspired illustrations, click here.
...now, SAFOMASI, founded by an Indian-British couple, Maninder Singh and Sarah Fotheringham. They create cushions, quilts, tea towels, napkins, aprons, placemates etc...
... SAFOMASI became a winner in the Bedroom category at the Elle Deco International Design Awards, India 2013 for their Camel Traders print...
... and a little come back to ELEPHANT LANDING - stacks of embroidered & printed cushions... so good!
